Conference Agenda

The 2026 NNOG conference will be held on Wednesday, May 13 and Thursday, May 14. In addition, an optional pre-conference tour of the Palo Verde Water Reclamation Facility is being offered on Tuesday, May 12. The conference presentation agenda is included below. Times and presentations are subject to change.

Doug Moran | If You Will Lead, LLC

Award-winning and best-selling author, Doug Moran wrote If You Will Lead: Enduring Wisdom for 21st-Century Leaders to help leaders reach their fullest potential.  Doug is an author, executive coach, consultant, and speaker with more than 35 years of leadership experience.  In his corporate and government career, Doug served in executive leadership positions for Capital One, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and Verizon.  Doug has been a leadership coach for 14 years and is a graduate of the Georgetown Leadership Coaching Program.   He coaches senior executives at leading organizations such as Freddie Mac, FINRA, Northrop Grumman, Dominion Energy, WIPRO, TVA, Sempra Energy, Busch UG, Revature, Cushman and Wakefield, and many others.

John Wise, PhD, PE | Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)

John Wise is a Senior Technical Advisor at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, where he focuses on aging management strategies to support safe long-term operation of nuclear power plants. He previously served a similar role with a focus on spent nuclear fuel storage. John also contributes to international initiatives that advance global readiness for extended operation. Before joining the NRC, he was a research assistant professor at Colorado School of Mines, research engineer at Bethlehem Steel Corporation, and failure analysis consultant at Exponent, Inc.

John Musser | Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO)

John Musser is the Director of Plant & Corporate Peer Reviews at the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO). He leads the domestic and international peer review programs for INPO and WANO – Atlanta Center, focused on strengthening operational excellence, leadership behaviors, and safety culture. John brings over 25 years of nuclear operations and leadership experience, including service in the U.S. Navy and senior leadership roles at Fort Calhoun Station

Dennis Pidherny |Fitch Ratings

Dennis M. Pidherny is a Managing Director – Public Finance at Fitch Ratings, Ltd, and responsible for overseeing the firm’s analytical activities related to U.S. public power and water & sewer utilities, prepaid energy, state revolving funds and municipal bond pools, and municipal structured finance.  In his current role he is responsible for the development and implementation of master and sub-sector rating criteria, as well as presenting Fitch’s research to a wide variety of issuers, institutional investors, lenders and other financial intermediaries. 

Sanjeeva Senanayake | Moodys Ratings

Sanjeeva Senanayake is a Vice President – Senior Analyst in the North America Power and Infrastructure Finance team at Moody’s Ratings.  Sanjeeva is responsible for ratings coverage for investor-owned utilities, generation and transmission electric cooperatives, public power and project finance. Sanjeeva has nearly three decades of energy and infrastructure experience covering power generation projects including renewables, investor-owned utilities, social and transportation infrastructure including public power partnerships (P3), oil & natural gas sector, and experience with emerging new energy sectors including hydrogen and fuel cells.

David Bodek | S&P Global Ratings

David Bodek is a Managing Director and Sector Leader of S&P Global Ratings’ Public Power and Electric Cooperative practice. David speaks frequently at industry conferences, discusses credit opinions with utilities, their financial intermediaries, and investors, actively monitors the credit ratings of a portfolio of high-profile public power and electric cooperative utilities, provides analytical guidance to colleagues, chairs rating committees, and develops rating methodologies.

Adam Christopher | TradeTech

As TradeTech’s Chief Market Analyst, Adam Christopher specializes in predictive statistical modeling to forecast uranium, conversion, and enrichment prices in the nuclear fuel markets. His principal areas of work involve uranium supply and demand, project development, nuclear fuel procurement practices, and market pricing while tracking developments in near- and long-term contracting. Christopher has in-depth knowledge and experience with analytical practices and is responsible for overseeing TradeTech’s market research and data services.

Calvin Pugh, P.E. | Dominion Energy

Calvin Pugh, P.E. is a senior utility executive at Dominion Energy with deep experience leading large‑scale nuclear and infrastructure portfolios and shaping long‑term, capital‑intensive investment decisions. He has 30+ years of experience rooted in engineering, maintenance, operations and nuclear projects – Calvin brings a disciplined, risk‑informed approach to enterprise strategy—balancing safety, reliability, affordability, and regulatory accountability over multi‑decade horizons.

Brian de Bruin | Aon Commercial Risk Solutions

Brian is on the executive leadership committee of Aon’s Global Power & Renewables U.S. national practice. He leads the Forced Outage specialty brokerage team. He also leads the firm’s nuclear practice globally providing specialty risk advisory and insurance syndication to nuclear power plant owners/suppliers contractors, and utility/power clients. Brian also leads the coordination of derivative/parametric solutions for Aon Power & Renewables clients through Aon Securities.

Joe Baumann| Wolverine Power Cooperative

Mr. Baumann currently serves as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for Wolverine Power Cooperative, a generation and transmission cooperative based in Cadillac, MI.  In that role, he serves as the primary legal, regulatory, and compliance counsel to Wolverine’s Board of Directors and President & CEO.  He is also responsible for leading Wolverine’s regulatory and NERC compliance responsibilities, land development and management, as well as environmental policy and compliance. 

Jeffrey Miller | TerraPower

Jeffrey Miller is the vice president of business development at TerraPower, developing relationships, new business alignments and strategic partnership opportunities in the Natrium and TerraPower Isotopes programs. He has more than 20 years of industry and government experience in nuclear power, including advocacy, business development, strategy, policy, program, and project management.
